Blog for January 5

Happy New Year!!
Welcome back for 2017, we are so glad to have you!!

For our one day this week, we concentrated on snowmen! We had the choice to make snowmen out of paper or model magic at table activities this morning. We read "Snowmen All Year" by Caralyn Buehner and "Snow Family" by Daniel Kirk. To choose our play, we drew something on our snowman, made of two circles, with a triangle carrot nose and two rectangles for his hat. We also made our names with snowmen.

We worked on fine motor, letter recognition, shape recognition and following directions.

As we opened our own snacks, we worked on independence and problem solving.

Our story this week finished the stories of the infant Christ as He and his family fled to Egypt where God kept them safe from bad King Herod. God keeps us safe too! There is nowhere we can go, even the moon or the depths of the sea where He is not right there with us!

Next Thursday, January 12th,  is the field trip to the Westland Public Library. We will meet there at 9:30am. If you are not attending, there will be no preschool that day. Come and see what your library has to offer!!

God bless your week!
Mrs. Schneck
